Plugins Due to SmartDocuments' intelligent communication layer, certain functionalities can be activated up to template level. These plug-in settings can be managed in the SmartControl management environment. We can provide the following plug-ins:
Autograph plug-in This plug-in ensures that the authors autograph is inserted into a document after it has been created with SmartDocuments Once the plug-in is installed a new category named “autograph” will be available in SmartControl, in the tab named “fields”. This field can then also be placed into the template, like all other SmartDocuments fields. Once the field has been placed in a template in SmartControl, the autograph will appear on the right position in the document after it has been created with the SmartDocuments wizard.
Document sequence number plug-in The document sequence number plug-in generates a new unique sequence number for each document created. This is often used to build a reference code or the file name.
Keyword plug-in
This plug-in asks the user to enter a keyword for the document being created. This keyword is mainly used for links with various DMS systems.
Mailmerge plug-in The Mailmerge plug-in enables the user to select which document should be active after merging; the original or the merged document. It also enables the user to select the merge file. Merging can be done with a default file, a default file in the temporary Windows directory or a file of choice in a certain directory.
Address plug-in This plug-in enables the user to enter an address in a text box. This address can then be placed in a template element by means of a single field.
